A trek in
Khumbu can be approached
in several ways: through
Solu rolling hills and forest
and ablaze with spring rhododendrons
(Solu Khumbu treks) over
Salpa-La from east Nepal,
cooled by the shady bamboo
and Banyan groves (Arun
to Everest Trek); or flying
into Lukla (2,866m) and
hiking up the Dhud Kosi
(Milk River) to Namche Bazar
from where a number of Treks
