The Khumbu valley, home to the simple, warm and hospitable Sherpas, is surrounded by some of the highest massifs on the planet. No wonder it is one of the most sought after destinations in Nepal for trekkers. Three of the world’s highest peaks – Mt. Sagarmatha (Everest – 8,848 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), and Cho-Oyu (8,201 m) – stand sentinel over this beautiful valley, which the locals believe to be a holy sanctuary of the Himalayan Gods.

However, for those on a tight time schedule or those who are not ready enough to climb expedition peaks, the Khumbu region has other smaller peaks that can be combined with regular trekking programs. The following are some of the popular "combo" treks that Cho-Oyu offers in the Khumbu region:
