Cho-Oyu Trekking requests you to kindly read the terms and conditions thoroughly. Please feel free to write for any confusion.

  • Please make your planning carefully for the trip wisely to meet your budget and time. Once the trip is confirmed, 30% amount of the trip is required to pay as booking confirmation, while the rest of the payment should be upon your arrival in Nepal before departure of your trip (A higher deposit may be required for some tours). If deposit is not received at our offices within 7 days from the date of reservations, booking/s is/are subject to cancellation.
  • Cho Oyu Trekking reserves the right to increase trip prices to cover increased costs of tariffs, taxes, park fees and fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. Unavoidable circumstances like climatic change, natural disaster, flight cancellation, internal political situation etc. However there is no hidden cost.
  • It is our most important aim that you enjoy your Tour and that we earn your Trust, however we are not responsible for any cancellation due to weather, strike, technical failure or any items beyond our control.
  • After booking if you wish to cancel your trip, you must notify Cho-Oyu Trekking in writing. Once Cho-Oyu Trekking receives your notice, cancellation will take effect subject to the following.
  • If cancellation takes place between 15 days prior to departure 75% of your payment will be refunded.
  • If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to departure due to clients personal problems all previously paid amount will be forfeited.
  • Mountain Flights are prone to cancellation and delays for notorious weather and sometime operational complication Cho-Oyu Trekking will not be responsible for it.
  • In case of cancellation of Mountain Flight by you prior to 3 days 10 % will be charged, cancellation on the same day 33% will be charged and cancellation on the spot no refund will be made.
  • Cho Oyu Trekking company reserves the right to cancel any trip without prior notice for any reasons deemed appropriate by us. In such a case you will receive full refund in local currency at the current rate against the currency you paid.
  • Personal travel insurance is not included in the trip price.
  • Your responsibility is to ensure that you are adequately insured for the full duration of the trip in respect of illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items and cancellation and curtailment as well as on site emergency assistance or search and rescue operation.
  • We advice you have checked with your personal physician before making any trip. It is advisable to let us know if you have any problems with your health.
  • The following services are included in your tour price: transportation between the airports and hotels, sightseeing with English-speaking guides as mentioned in the itinerary and all entrance fees to attractions visited as described in the itinerary. Sightseeing will be via motor coach, private car and other modes of transportation (air conditioned where necessary and available), as determined by the nature of the terrain and as outlined in the itinerary. Transfers are not included when arriving or departing at the first destination gateway by means other than the scheduled tour itinerary, but can be arranged at additional cost. 
  • Meals for each trip are included as stated on itinerary. A la Carte, Buffet meals and/or table d'hôte are offered. Special meals and entertainment are included as shown in the itinerary. In some rare instances, a meal may not be of a standard expected under the term of "deluxe" particularly in remote areas.
  • Apart from when you are staying in hotels, our cook will provide 3 tasty, plentiful and nutritious meals daily with a variety of local and Western dishes. To start the day, breakfast consists of a choice of porridge, muesli and cereal followed by omelet, fried or scrambled eggs with chapattis or bread.
  • Lunch is generally a selection of salad, cooked vegetable dishes, pasta and traditional breads. After a long day on the trail, dinner is a hearty 3-course meal - soup, followed by a variety of vegetable, meat, rice and pasta dishes and completed with a simple dessert.
  • Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are also provided at all meals. We use as much fresh producd as possible and our cooks and kitchen crew maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and food preparation hygiene. Special dietary requirements can always be catered for.
  • Cho Oyu Trekking offers a wide range of accommodation, from 5 star luxury hotels to budget-priced guest houses. Top hotel in Nepal gives you the high quality services. Whatever your requirements are, Nepal hotels can meet them all.
    Cho-Oyu Trekking will assist you in hotel reservation. Local lodges will be provided during your trekking as per the itinerary and special tents are provided during camping.
  • Sometime due to the unavoidable circumstances like bad climate, political unrest, landslides, health illness, natural disasters which are beyond human control may occur, we will be happy to refer you for any alternative trip to suit you.
  • Cho Oyu Trekking act only in the capacity as an agent for the hotels, airlines, vehicle companies, and/or contractors providing accommodations, transportation or other services to the client. The client is advised that Cho-Oyu Trekking purchases such transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurant and other services from various independent suppliers who are not affiliated with us. Cho-Oyu Trekking makes every effort to select the best suppliers of the aforementioned services. However, Cho-Oyu Trekking does not control the operations of these agents and as a result, CANNOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR OTHER CLAIM which may occur as the result of any and/or all of the following:
  1. The wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts or omissions on the part of the independent supplier, agent, its employees or others who are not under the direct control or supervision of Cho Oyu Trekking
  2. Defects or failures of any vessel, aircraft, vehicle or other instrumentality which is under the control of an independent supplier;
  3. Loss, injury or damage to person, property or otherwise, resulting directly or indirectly from any Acts of God, dangers, incidents at fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, or wars (whether declared or not), hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, medical epidemics, quarantines, or customs regulations, defaults, delays or cancellations or alterations in itinerary due to schedule changes, or from any causes beyond Cho-Oyu Trekking control. Further, Cho Oyu Trekking is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from insufficient or improperly issued passports, visas or other legal documents.
  • Please check your visa requirement/s at time of booking. Cho-Oyu Trekking will provide visa information. Cho-Oyu Trekking recommends a reliable visa service that will assist in obtaining visa/s for nominal fee/s. It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure that all his or her visa and passport requirements are met.
  • All visitors except the Indian nationals must hold passport and valid visa. Visa can be obtained at the Nepalese diplomatic missions and consulates abroad. Visa is also issued at the entry points. It can be extended at the Department of Immigration, Kathmandu. Children under 10 years need not pay any visa fee. People willing to get entry Visa at the airport or any of the land entry points are required to fill a visa form with passport photograph. So, please go online http://online.nepalimmigration.gov.np/tourist-visa and fill the form online.
  • No refund will be made for any unused accommodation, missed meals, transportation segments, sightseeing tour or any other service. Such unused items are neither refundable nor exchangeable (no exception)
