Sikkim :
Sikkim
awaits discovery. Until recently a Bhuddhist
mountain Kingdom, the newest state of
India, situated between Nepal and Bhutan,
retains a pristine quality amidst modern
comforts and amenities. Its rich forests
harbor unusual wildlife and stunning floral
displays, incliding hundreds of wild orchid
species and dozens of rhododendron varieties.
Kanchendzonga (8586m) , guardian mountain
of Sikkim, and other peaks soar above
rushing streams. New ecotourism policies
aim to regulate tourists impacts while
serving local needs.
Your Sikkim Journey begins
at the base of the eastern Himalaya (by
flight from Kathmandu, Calcutta or Delhi)
and continues by road up to Gangtok (1547m),
hillside capital of Sikkim. Day and overnight
trips visit Rumtek monastery, seat of
the 17th Reincarnate Karmapa, colourful
bazzars, tea gardens, and the lush forests
of north and west Sikkim.

Bhutan :
Bhutan, known to the natives as Druk
Yul (land of the thunder Dragon), Bhutan
is regarded as the last paradise on earth. Its
isolation, spectacular mountains, varried
flora and fauna, ancient Buddhist monasteries,
vibrant culture and mystic area have made
it so.
Though
small in size, the kingdom's topography
is one of the dramatic contrasts from
the near tropical southern boarder with
India at an altitude of 300m, the land
rises to colminate in over 7000m peaks
of himalayas, which forms a natural fronteir
with the tibetan region of Bhutan's neighbours,
China.
The Bhutanese are a deeply
religous people. Followers of Mahayan
Bhuddhism, their belief is woven intricately
even into their daily lives in the way
they live, work, worship and celebrate.
